FAISALABAD: Minister of State and Power, Abid Sher Ali took a jab at Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and calls PPP’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is ‘head of land mafia in Sindh’.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader talking to media criticized PPP and said that the former president of Pakistan, is the root of all evils in the country and he should be tried in the military court.

“Zardari is the biggest terrorist,” said Abid Sher Ali.

He said a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) should be formed to investigate the revelations made by former Sindh Home Minister Zulifiqar Mirza.

Criticizing PPP’s Senator Aitizaz Ahsan, the PML-N leader said he slandered the security agency.

Reacting to the demand of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry for PM to quit his office, Abid Sher said, “Did he (ex-CJP) step down after allegations were leveled against his son."

The statements come after PPP rejected the decision by the Supreme Court on Panama verdict and demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign.

The PPP co-chairman told reporters on Thursday that his party will give its final call after the lawyers have completely studied the SC judgment.

“Two judges declared the prime minister dishonest. The rest toyed with the nation. It will be wise of the prime minister to resign after such a controversial decision,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the apex court ruled insufficient evidence to order PM Nawaz Sharif's removal from office over corruption allegations leveled by the opposition and ordered further investigations.
