Pakistan eyeing history face West Indies today

KINGSTON: Pakistan and West Indies are all set to face each other in the first of three-match Test series being played at Kingston’s Sabina Park on Friday.

Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and legendary batsman Younis Khan hope to make the three-match series memorable as they have announced to retire from international cricket after this series.

Veteran batsman [Younis] is just 23 runs shy from becoming the first Pakistani to score 10,000 Test runs. The 38-year-old right handed batsman will hang up his bat at the end of Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies, and the 10,000 mark is well likely to be his final Test milestone .

Meanwhile, Misbah’s men practiced in Jamaica under the supervision of head coach Mickey Arthur and other coaching staff.

The visitors have already won the T20 and ODI series. However, they never won a Test series against Windies in the West Indies. Well, this could probably be Misbah's men best chance to write history by clinching the Test trophy.

The match will start at 8:00 pm as per Pakistan Standard time.
