Rozgar scheme: 150,000 to get jobs in first phase

Punjab government will provide jobs on merit to 150,000 unemployed educated youth under the Chief Minister's 'Rozgar Scheme' in the first phase of the programme during the current fiscal.
Talking to a lawyers delegation, Punjab parliamentary secretary consolidation, Ahmed Saeed said that employment will be provided to 60,000 educated youth in the education sector, while 90,000 others will be absorbed in police and other government departments.
He assured that all the jobs will be given on merit, and no recommendation will be entertained.
The parliamentary secretary said that Punjab government is also taking measures for the welfare of young lawyers, who are an important part of the country's judicial system.
