WASHINGTON: Donald Trump on Thursday arrived in Washington, landing at Andrews Air Force Base aboard an official government jet on the eve of his swearing-in as the 45th president of the United States.

Trump, who was accompanied by his wife Melania, will place a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery before crossing the Potomac to make remarks at the Lincoln Memorial, the epicenter of the pre-inaugural festivities.
