CM Sindh, LB Minister visit District South's rain-affected areas

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, on Saturday visited various areas of Karachi's District South and inspected the work regarding draining out the accumulated rain water.

A statement of District Municipal Corporation (DMC), South, said that he was accompanied by the Sindh Local Bodies Minister, Jam Khan Shoro.

The chairman of the DMC South, Malik Muhammad Fayyaz, briefed about the draining out of the accumulated rain water.

He informed that the dewatering work was continuing in Lyari and Saddar areas.

Fayyaz said that dewatering pumps have been installed in the low- laying areas where the rain water accumulated.

The DMC South statement said that the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at the work and directed that relief be provided to the people at the earliest.

It said that the chairman DMC South, Malik Muhammad Fayyaz, accompanied by the Municipal Commissioner, Afaz Saeed, visited various areas of the District and saw the dewatering and cleanliness work.
