The bureau said Indonesia had $12.75 billion of exports in August, up from its preliminary figure of $12.63 billion. The revision made August the first month in nearly two years in which there was an annual increase in exports.
Imports during August were revised up to $12.39 billion, from $12.34 billion.
The changes brought August's trade balance to around $360 million, up from the $293.6 million surplus the bureau reported a month ago.
Earlier on Monday, the bureau said Southeast Asia's largest economy had a trade surplus of $1.22 billion in September.
Indonesia has had a trade surplus every month this year.
