FRANKFURT: Shares in troubled German lender Deutsche Bank leapt by 5.79 percent in the final minutes of trading in Frankfurt Friday, rebounding from a plunge to historic lows earlier in the day.

After plumbing the depths of a 9.90 euro stock price -- more than 9.0 percent down on Thursday's close -- traders pushed the shares to 11.51 euros just before 1730 GMT in a flurry of buying activity.
