Six killed as rainstorm hits Faisalabad

Six people, including two minors, were killed and several others injured, when heavy dust storm and downpour hit industrial city and causing more trouble to the people as water accumulated in various important and busy centers.
The one-hour rain, 71mm, added more woes to the already beleaguered citizens of the areas Nishatabad, Millat Road, State Bank Road, Circular Road and Maqbool Road, etc, as the Water and Sanitation Authority (Wasa) Faisalabad was unable to flush out the rainwater.
According to details, four family members, including a minor were killed and two others injured when a dilapidated wall of a house collapsed in Chak 455-GB of Garh Police Station due to heavy downpour.
Police stated that the ill-fated family of Muhammad Nawaz and their relatives were present in their house when its wall collapsed.
As a result, Sabat Ali (25), Nawaz's wife Manzooran Bibi (32) her daughter Numaira (6) and Mariam, wife of Shahadat Ali were killed. Two other also injured but saved.
Death of boy and a girl was also reported during rain at other places of district.
