Judicial Magistrate Shaista Hamid, 35, committed suicide in her Bahaduarabad house on Friday night, police said on Saturday. Police said that Friday night when Hamid's brother came to visit her found the room locked from inside. The door was broken and Hamid was found hanging with a ceiling fan.
Her body was shifted to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre for autopsy.
According to her brother, Shaista Hamid had earlier attempted suicide twice in the past.
