Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr Salman Shah will give away the "Best Corporate Report Awards" to the winning companies at a local hotel on August 26. According to a press release, the "Best Corporate Report Awards" were instituted and presented to companies in the year 2000 for promoting good governance in the corporate sector.
The joint committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) had requested all the stock exchange listed, send their published accounts for the year 2004. The joint committee had also evaluated the criteria for the selection of the Best Corporate Report Awards.
The entire corporate sector has been divided into sectors that were Financial, Chemicals and Fertiliser, Engineering, Fuel and Energy and miscellaneous.-PR
