Rs 400 million to be spent on Margalla Town development

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would spend Rs 400 million on the up-gradation of civic services in Margalla Town. Sources in CDA told Business Recorder the authority has completed all arrangements to provide basic facilities including water supply, electricity, gas connection, roads building and sanitation facilities to dwellers of Margalla Town.
It is learnt the CDA chairman has approved the project, which would be started within a month or so and take at least one and a half year.
The sources said Rs 55 million would be spent on renovation of roads in the Town, while Rs 36 million on drainage, Rs 15 million on landscaping and Rs 10 million on door to door Sui-gas connection. Besides, the authority would install streetlights, build footpaths, repair water tankers and sanitary system.
The project will be financed by CDA from its own resources.
