Terrorists den in North Waziristan busted: ISPR

Law enforcement agencies have successfully busted a terrorists den established in Madrassah Abu Shoaib near Miran Shah in North Waziristan Agency which was being used as planning and organising centre.
According to a press release of ISPR, during the nightlong operations, chief operative code named Malang was killed by the security forces while seven others including one foreign national belonging to this group were arrested.
A large cache of arms, ammunitions, grenades, rockets, explosives, fuses, booby traps, detonators improvised explosive devices and documents containing circuit diagrams and hand written notes were recovered.
In North Waziristan Agency, the press release adds, rocket attacks were being launched and spate of improvised explosive devices attacks had continued against the law enforcement agencies in the recent past.
Through hectic efforts of the law enforcement agencies, which were on the look out in conjunction with the intelligence agencies, it was revealed that Madrassah Abu Shoaib was involved in this nefarious activity.
The security forces launched operation against the Madrassah and surrounding compounds which was heavily contested.
The group was headed by Mir Hamza who has admitted that they were using Abu Shoaib Madrassah compound as planning centre for target killings, rocket attacks on military installations, recruiting and training camp for terrorist activities.
The politica1 administration has sealed the Madrassah for involvement in terrorist activities whereas the neighbouring compounds used by the terrorists are being demolished. Corps Commander Lieutenant General Safdar Hussain has appreciated the efforts of law enforcement forces and has given stern warning to all Madrassahs that any direct as well as indirect involvement in abetting terrorism will not be tolerated.
