Sindh Health Minister Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani has sought details regarding the news report alleging health department officials to be involved in misappropriation of funds for WHO sponsored projects.
According to the very report manoeuvring was underway in the provincial health department for selection of NGOs authorised to commission different, WHO sponsored projects, worth Rs 190 million.
A press release issued by the Sindh Health Department said, the Minister taking serious note of it had directed the Sindh Health Secretary, Professor Naushad Shaikh to investigate the matter and provide him details of factual scenario.
The Health Minister Shabbir Qaimkhani making it clear that corruption would not be tolerated said strict actions would be taken against the concerned officials if the allegations were found true.
