Sindh governor approves acquiring fire vehicles, ambulances

Giving approval in principle to the purchase of 20 new fire brigade engines and 20 new ambulances for the city, Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan directed the City Government to take immediate steps in this regard. Talking to the fire brigade staff during his surprise visit to the City on Friday night, the governor had an appraisal about their requirements and resources.
On the night intervening Friday and Saturday the governor, along with his wife, Shaheena Ibad and officials went round various city areas. He first went to the Mazar of Abdullah Shah Ghazi at Clifton where development work in the courtyard of the Mazar and especially outer path was in progress. The governor shook hand with the labourers working there and appreciated them for working late in the night.
Later he reached the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam where the fire brigade department of City Government and sanitary staff was busy in cleaning and washing the roads around the Mazar. The governor appreciated them also for working late in the night.
