ISTANBUL: The Turkish central government's debt stock stood at 710.9 billion lira ($239 billion) at the end of August, the Treasury said in a statement on Tuesday.

Of that, 458.4 billion is denominated in the local currency and 252.5 billion is denominated in foreign currencies, it said. ($1 = 2.9733 liras)
