GCU working to promote quality education

Government College University (GCU), Lahore is working to promote market-oriented quality education in line with the modern day requirements to help students in acquiring broad based study of the subjects.
The vice-chancellor GC University, Professor Dr Khalid Aftab said this while addressing the orientation programme on '4-year B.A/B.Sc. (Hons) degree' held here on Monday.
Aftab maintained that this programme would succeed, as we are trying to queue it with the international standards. We are also imparting necessary training to the staff members of the varsity, to achieve the set objectives, he added.
Professor Mirza Ather Baig, while highlighting the 'concepts and paradigms' of the 4-year B.A/B.Sc. (Hons) degree programme, said that its an integrated new programme of higher education emphasising a holistic approach of curriculum development, course designing and class room practices.
Professor Dr Muhammad Khalid Pervaiz gave presentation on 'Development and Implementation Strategy', while Professor Abdul Sabur, controller of examination GCU threw light on 'main features of the examination system'.
