Shaukat and Shujaat discuss various matters

Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday and discussed various matters including his recent visit to Malaysia, LG polls, party matters and the overall political situation in the country.
Shujaat conveyed the good wishes of Malaysian Prime Minister to Shaukat Aziz and also apprised him of the details of his Malaysian visit.
Shaukat Aziz said the existing economic cultural and diplomatic relations between the two countries had been further strengthened as a result of visits of the two prime ministers to each other countries.
The Prime Minister said local bodies election, being held on non-party basis under the code of ethics issued by the Election Commission, would be free, fair and transparent.
The people should take active part in these polls and vote for sincere, honest and dedicated candidates, Shaukat Aziz added.
The Prime Minister said that the government has earmarked substantial amount under Khushhal Pakistan programme for gas, electricity, clean drinking water, roads besides allocating funds for improvement of health and education so that the benefits of economic gain can be shared with the masses.
