PIA signs PACI Principles

30 Jul, 2005

In its endeavour to bring transparency in its procurement and operational excellence, PIA has signed the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) Principles and, thus, joined the rank of enterprises committed to anti-corruption principles.
A press release issued by the PIA here on Friday said that multinational and multi-sectoral task force of companies working with the World Economic Forum, Transparency International and the Basel Institute on Governance have developed these principles. The aim of these principles is to provide a framework for good business practices and risk management strategies for countering bribery and corruption in any form.
The PACI Principles commit signatory companies to two basic actions, which are zero tolerance on bribery and the development of a practical and effective implementation programme for implementing that policy.-PR
