SCB to launch Islamic banking branch from July 27

Standard Chartered Bank would launch its Islamic Banking branch here on July 27. According to a bank's spokesman, Islamic banking experts and Shariah scholars Dr Abdul Sattar Abu Ghuddah from Saudi Arabia and Sheikh Nizam Yaqubi would be the chief guests at the launching ceremony.
He said the Standard Chartered Bank was the first international bank in Pakistan offering Islamic banking products and services to its customers. "Our offerings included Islamic Current Accounts, Islamic Auto Financing and Islamic Mortgage Financing," he added.
