Ukrainian Company offers to set up heavy vehicles plant

A five-member Ukrainian delegation, led by M/s Karaz (A Ukrainian heavy vehicles / trucks manufacturing company) Chairman Sergiy Sazonov called on Senior Federal Minister and Minister for Defence Rao Sikandar Iqbal here on Friday.
M/s Karaz Chairman briefed the minister about functions, performance and durability of Karaz trucks, which were being used for both military and other transport purposes in hilly areas and difficult terrain.
Sergiy Sazonov informed the Minister that they were ready to invest in Pakistan and install a huge production facility/industry in collaboration with the Fateh Group for manufacturing the trucks and other heavy vehicles for the Pakistani market as well as Middle Eastern countries.
Minister appreciated the interest shown by the delegation while investing in Pakistan. He further stated Pakistan was desirous to establish meaningful and mutually beneficial co-operation with Ukraine, particularly in the field of defence.
Earlier, the Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to Pakistan, Hussein Kamel Haridy called on Senior Federal Minister and Minister for Defence, and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.
Both sides underscored the need for greater co-operation in the filed of defence. It was also emphasised that both sides should exchange Military Delegations and visit defence establishments so as to benefit from each other's expertise.
