Bombardier gets $425 million New York train order

Bombardier Inc said on Friday that it received a $425 million order from the New York area's Metropolitan Transportation Authority for more M-7 commuter rail cars. Bombardier said the order, which consists of exercising options under an existing contract, is for 36 train units valued at about $80 million for Metro-North Railroad, plus another 158 units valued at $345 million for Long Island Rail Road.
