Government striving to address flood victims grievances: Chaudhry Amir

National Assembly (NA) Speaker Choudary Amir Hussain has said the government was making all out efforts for redressing the problems of flood-affected people on top priority basis. He was addressing the flood victims after visiting several flood-stricken villages of Chaprar area of tehsil Sialkot district.
He said the government was fully aware of the problems being faced by the displaced people, adding that rescue teams had evacuated marooned people, and shifted them to safer places.
In order to ascertain the exact loss of property and crops, a detailed survey would be carried out in flood-hit areas in Sialkot district soon, he added.
The NA Speaker also visited relief centres established by the Sialkot district administration, and directed the authorities concerned that all facilities, including food and medical treatment facilities should be provided to the flood-affected people ffectees on top priority basis.
Punjab Industries and Investment Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema also visited the flood-affected areas.
