Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Saturday afternoon paid a surprise visit to a Utility Store in Punjab Colony area here. He talked to the customers who had come for shopping of items of daily use and inquired about the prices of commodities particularly "atta" (flour) and sugar.
The Premier was informed that "atta" was available at the store at Rs 11.50 per kg. Shaukat Aziz also asked about the stock that was available at the utility store. He also went round various sections and also saw the packets of rice at the shelf of the Utility Store. He asked from the staff about the average number of people who visit the store daily.
On the occasion, the Premier gifted a bag of "atta" to one of the customers. Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit to the utility store.
