A religious scholar, Mufti Shamsuddin, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Orangi Town on Saturday morning. The 65-year-old Mufti Shamsuddin of Darul Uloom Hanifa in Orangi Town Sector 11-E was kidnapped when he was going to another Madressah for giving Dars in early hours of Saturday, area police said.
The bullet-riddled body of the aged scholar was found after 15 minutes of his kidnapping near Metro Cinema in Orangi Town. Police said that FIR has been registered and investigation has been started.
