Attempts to disturb LB polls schedule to be foiled: Ibad

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that rumour mongering about local bodies elections would be dealt with effectively and the government would foil all attempts to disturb the schedule. He was talking to members of a delegation of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry who called on him at the Governor House on Saturday.
President of KCCI Khalid Feroze led the delegation. Others in the delegation were Siraj Qasim Teli, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooqui, Abrar Ahmed and Majid Haji Mohammed. Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui and DIG Police Asad Jehangir were also present.
The Governor said that the elections would be held in a transparent and peaceful manner and would not affect the routine life of a common man.
He said that life and property would be protected and those who would try to take law and order in their hands would be checked effectively.
The governor said that the ongoing propaganda about law and order situation and the coming elections was aimed at disturbing peace in Karachi and the government would not let it happen.
He briefed the delegation members about the law and order situation and informed them about the plans it has drawn to deal with criminals and terrorist elements during elections.
