Water inflows in rivers rise further

Water inflows in Indus and Kabul rivers rose further as the record heat in upper regions of the country melted snows and glaciers during the past 10 days. According to daily water situation report of the Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Tuesday, water inflow at Tarbela dam was 332,000 cusecs where water level has risen to 1482.82ft against the dead level of 1369ft.
The discharge of River Kabul at Nowshera was 140,000 cusecs, which falls into River Indus 20kms downstream near Attock bridge.
The upstream discharge at Guddu barrage in Sindh was 157,345 cusecs from where 38,775 cusecs of water was discharged into canals, including Balochistan canals.
The total rim station inflows was 646,934 cusecs against outflows of 396,565 cusecs.
