Two injured in bomb attack on Russian train

A bomb went off on a railway line in Russia's turbulent North Caucasus region on Saturday, injuring two crew on a maintenance engine, the Interfax news agency reported. It quoted regional security officials as saying a home-made bomb had exploded just after midnight on the Kurush-Karlan Yurt line in Dagestan. The Muslim region adjoins Chechnya, where Russian troops are fighting separatist rebels.
No one immediately claimed responsibility and regional emergency and security officials were unavailable to confirm the report.
