CAA traffic controller withdrawn

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director General has ordered a high-level inquiry to investigate incident of loss of separation between two flights PIA PK-721 and Air Blue private airline ABQ-207 on 14th June 2005 night, and withdrawn concerned CAA's air traffic controller from radar duties. Any person from air traffic control found guilty of negligence will be penalised and subjected to further training in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) procedures.
President CAA Safety Investigation Board is investigating the incident and will submit his report soon to DG CAA, a press release of CAA said on Saturday.
The Authority gives prime importance to flight safety and spent millions of dollars on aeronautical communication and control.
The whole Pakistan airspace is provided full radar coverage for keeping sky safer.
