Navy fully prepared to meet challenges: Admiral Shahid

Pakistan Navy is alive and aware of the changing geo-strategic situation, in addition to meet the challenges of the added responsibility of war against terror at sea, particularly in the Indian Ocean. Pakistan Navy is also fully prepared to respond to calamities, said Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Shahid Karimullah while addressing the student officers of 34th Pakistan Navy Staff Course at PN War College here on Friday.
Highlighting the role of navy worldover, he gave overview of the government's efforts and commitment to improve the maritime sector and Pakistan Navy. He discussed the future developmental plans of Pakistan Navy. He also responded to various queries raised by the course participants.
At the end, the Chief of Naval Staff reminded the officers to maintain high standards of professionalism and selflessly discharge of sacred duty of safeguarding the sea frontiers of the motherland. A large number of senior officers of Pakistan Navy were also present on the occasion. Earlier the chief of Naval Staff was received by Commandant Pakistan Navy War College Commodore Agha Danish.
