Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 52,819 tonnes of cargo including 42,432 tonnes import and 10,387 tonnes export cargo including 2,592 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 44,458 tonnes dry cargo including 39,321 tonnes general cargo; 3,176 tonnes rice; 800 tonnes bitumen; 1,161 tonnes fertiliser and 8,361 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Apl Orchid, Astor, Harmony, Iran Kurdestan, Chem Rigal and Global EOS sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eight vessels viz Wan Hai-265, Elbe Oldendroff, Ponl Buenos Aries, Harmony, Wise King, Thor Sea, Pathfinder and Global EOS are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Asphalt Merchant, Wise King and Ponl Buenos Aries expected to sail on Saturday.
Four vessels viz Linnea, Global Princess, Thor Captain and Dina Queen due to arrive on Saturday, while two ships namely Bunga Terasek and World Group-1 are due to arrive on Sunday.
Five ships namely Botany Trust, Al Jazy, Kota Teraju, Banglar Doot and MT Swat are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 43,954 tonnes diesel oil; 6,563 tonnes edible oil; 1,614 tonnes rice; 5,483 tonnes seeds; 11,244 tonnes iron ore and 29,461 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container vessels viz MSC Lugano and ER Sydney sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while another ship MT Al-Maqwa is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total of eight vessels viz Poppy, Koriana, Bunga Melati Dua, Min Noble, Nolowati, Pacific Chemp, Thor Sea and Stoikos are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four vessels viz MT Minsa, MT Viscaya, CV Oocl Authority and CV P&O Nedlloyd Singapore due to arrive on Saturday, while three more ships namely MSC Selin, Maersk Alaska and Lady Jasmine with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday.
