Omar defiant as England eye victory

05 Jun, 2005

Javed Omar's unbeaten 60 was a rare highlight for Bangladesh as they tried to deny England a 2-0 series clinching win on the second day of the second and final Test at the Riverside here Saturday. At tea Bangladesh were 108 for three, still needing a further 235 to avoid an innings defeat. Omar was 60 not out - Bangladesh's first individual fifty of the series -- and captain Habibul Bashar unbeaten on six.
