Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 44,888 tonnes of cargo including 28,927 tonnes import and 15,961 tonnes export cargo including 2,438 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 42,338 tonnes dry cargo including 32,387 tonnes general cargo; 5,050 tonnes rock phosphate; 3,258 tonnes rice; 1,138 tonnes cement; 505 tonnes fertiliser and 2,550 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo. Six ships namely Rickmers Dubai, Sinar Bontang, Harmony, Orient Prosperity, Taisier and Chem Lily sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Rickmers Dubai, Wan Hai-263, Pearl, Venuzs, Oriental Keeria and Chem Lily are currently at the berths. MV Corinthiakos expected to sail on Saturday, while another ship Cape Noli is expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz MT Johar and Sea Ranger due to arrive on Saturday, while two ships namely Bunga Bidara and Kota Mesra are due to arrive on Sunday.
Two ships namely Global Prosperity and Ever Guard are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 3,600 tonnes edible oil; 5,238 tonnes seeds and 23,069 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four vessels viz CV MSC Jordan, Al Mariyah, China Star and Olympic sailed out to sea during the report period.
A total of six vessels viz Pacific Senator, Maersk Alaska, Iran Gheyamat, Al Maqwa, Shima Kaze and Gemini are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely Pacific Senator, Maersk Alaska, Iran Gheyamat, Al Maqwa and Gemini due to take berths on Saturday.
Two vessels viz San Clementer and MV Nikos with iron ore and containers due to arrive on Saturday, while another container vessel Nord Strand is due to arrive on Sunday.
