SC summons DG FIA, Secretary CADD in Polyclinic alleged corruption case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday while hearing a case regarding alleged corruption in Polyclinic hospital summoned Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) to appear before court on Friday.

The bench remarked that after hearing the arguments of concerned officials the court would decide that whether the case should be referred to FIA or National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case.

During the course of proceedings, Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that the oxygen cylinders which were refilling in open market at Rs 3000 the government hospitals were buying it in Rs 22000.

The court was informed that the Polyclinic hospital administration on August 1, extended the agreement for one year regarding Nitrogen gas cylinders.

The court summoned Secretary CADD and DG FIA and adjourned hearing of the case till August 19.
