RIO DE JANEIRO: Chinese weightlifting superstar Lyu Xiaojun set a new snatch world record in the men's 77kg weightlifting at the Olympics on Wednesday.
Defending champion Lyu, wearing gold shoes, lifted 177 kg to beat his own record of 176 kg, set in 2013.
Lyu, 32, is bidding for his second Olympic gold medal following his first place finish at London four years ago.
