Three children of a same family were burned to death when fire broke out in a house in Hirabad in the jurisdiction of Market Police Station here on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, all three deceased children identified as Rehman, Farhan and Dua between the age of two and five years were the brothers and sister. They were sleeping in a room when fire broke out on the third floor of the house, located near Azad Maidan Masjid Hirabad.
The mother of children was out from the house to bring her another son from school, the police said and added that while leaving she did not switch off the gas burner. Soon after the fire, which engulfed the house, the fire tenders rushed to the spot and controlled the fire, however they failed to rescue the children.
