12 Nov, 2004

Indian occupation troops in Indian occupied Kashmir have killed seven suspected Mujahideen in operations, police said on Thursday. Six of the alleged Mujahideen died in three clashes in southern Anantnag district on Thursday and overnight, a police spokesman said. The battles erupted as occupation troops were carrying out search operations, he said.
A seventh alleged Mujahid was killed by occupation troops in southern Udhampur district overnight, the spokesman said.
Violence has continued in Indian occupied Kashmir despite a nascent peace process over the disputed region. Tensions have been mounting in the Himalayan state in recent days over the alleged rape of a young girl and her mother by army major of occupation forces.
