18 killed and 30 injured in accident

At least 18 persons, including 12 children were killed and 30 others injured when a Punjab bound passenger coach No J-3975 smashed a Kashmor bound wagon No PG-825 at Kandh Kot bypass National Highway on Thursday. Five deceased including wagon driver Atta Muhammad Bhio and conductor Dost Ali Mugheri, Rafiq Ahmed, Barkat Ali and Shabbir Baboo could be identified, while bodies of 13 deceased could not be identified as yet.
Abdul Sattar Bhio, Zulfiqar Bhio, Bashir Lolai, Noor Mohammad, Atta Muhammad, Mumtaz Bajkani, Rafiq Ahmed were seriously injured.
Emergency was declared in Kandh Kot hospital after the accident, where injured and deceased were shifted.
Condition of five has been told as very critical, while the wagon was completely damaged.
DPO Jacobabad Din Muhammad Baloch reached at Kandh Kot hospital immediate1y after hearing the news of accident and supervised medical treatment being provided to injured.
