ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML-N Senator Nehal Hashmi Tuesday said the government had always taken initiative to talk to opposition on all issues and would continue in the future as it was a part of parliamentary politics.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar was in consultation with the opposition to resolve the matter of Terms of Reference (ToRs) for Panama Papers, as per direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He said door of the government was always open to the opposition to sit and resolve all the issues however dictation would not be accepted on ToRs matter.

The senator said all those who were named in Panama Papers should be investigated but the opposition insisted for Prime Minister's inclusion in thw ToRs, contrary to the fact that his name was not mentioned in the Panama Papers.

Nehal Hashmi said name of Maryam Nawaz was also not mentioned in Panama Papers for holding any offshore company rather she was a trustee of her brother's company.

Dispelling the impression that the government was not serious on formulation of ToRs, he said they were showing all possible reluctance to the opposition parties on their demands to get the matter resolved.

But some of the opposition parties were infact afraid of the PML-N government's development works in the country and they were now trying to gain points from Panama issue in their favour for general election 2018, he added.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership was working on one point agenda to send home Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as they could not absorb people friendly policies of the PML-N government.
