Pervaiz Rashid visits late Sabri's residence, offers Fateha

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid Sunday visited the residence of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri, who was gunned down in Karachi on Wednesday last.

He expressede condolences with the bereaved family and also offered `Fateha' for the departed soul.

Talking to media-persons outside the residence of late Amjad Sabri, the minister said he had come here to offer condolences with the family on behalf of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Every Pakistani had been saddened by the assassination of Amjad Sabri and shared the grief of the bereaved family, he added.

The minister paid tribute to the services of the deceased Qawwal, who had fostered the message of love, brotherhood and amity and had served as an ambassador of peace.

He said the countrymen also reiterated the resolve to continue the mission of spreading the message of peace and understanding, and for contributing their bit towards the elimination of terrorism and militancy.

PML-N Senator Nihal Hashmi also accompanied the minister on the occasion.
