Pakistan and Philippines hold talks

Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri held talks with Foreign Affairs Secretary (Foreign Minister) of the Philippines Ms Delia Domingo Albert at the Foreign Office and exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international issues.
Earlier, Ms Delia Domingo Albert arrived here on Tuesday on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
Both the leaders expressed satisfaction on the status of bilateral relations and identified areas for a mutually beneficial economic and trade partnership.
The visiting delegate expressed her country's interest in associating itself with the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC).
Pakistan enjoys close and friendly relations with the Philippines. The Philippines has supported Pakistan's membership of the ARF and accession to the Treaty of Amity and Co-operation.
The Philippines also supports Pakistan's bid to attain Full Dialogue Partnership with the Asean.
The foreign minister hosted a lunch for the Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Philippines and her delegation.
