Anti-allergy movement launched

A National Allergy Movement has been launched to create awareness among the people to fight against various kinds of allergy.
This was stated by Dr Muhammad Usman Yousuf, Faculty Member, World Allergy Organisation, while talking to newsmen.
He elaborated the threats of various allergies and said that a number of surveys would be conducted in all major cities of the country to check the alarming increase in asthma patients so that a workable policy could be proposed.
He said that vaccination centres and medical points for the treatment of allergies would be set up in all major cities during this movement. Special programmes and seminars would also be conducted in this regard.
He claimed that 20 percent of the school-going children had become patients of asthma out of which 13 percent were unaware about the same and they were being medicated through antibiotic medicines.
