Sindh SIC being made investor-friendly

Sindh Minister for Labour, Transport and Industries & Commerce Muhammad Adil Siddiqui on Friday said that the Sindh Small Industries Corporation had been reactivated and made investor-friendly to encourage growth of medium-size projects.
The minister was talking to a delegation of industrialist who called on him at his office to discuss their problems, condition of small industrial units and the industrial sites in Sindh.
He said that the government was concentrating on its reforms and facilitation of industrial activation programme in Sindh so that the problems of industrialist could be solved across the board.
He said that ever since he had taken over as minister for industries his priority has been establishment of industries. For this purpose, on the one side SSIC had been reactivated and on the other Site had been asked to establish new industrial estate with the provision of all infrastructure facilities.
He said that Site was also engaged in improving the overall condition of industrial estates to make it efficient.
Adil said that despite his hard work and efforts to improve the working of industrial units there were people critical of his functioning bringing distrust among the stakeholders in industrial development.
He said he was not averse to criticism, and always learnt from them provided they were clear and in the right direction.
He said that they should develop habit of thinking in terms of national interest instead of limiting their thought process to narrow political objectives.
He called upon them to co-operate with the government in its efforts toward industrialisation in Sindh.
