Protest against sacrilege of holy places in Iraq

On a call of Tehrik Nifaz Fiqh-i-Jafaria Pakistan (TNJF) Shias observed the third day of mourning and two demonstration were staged here after Friday's prayer to condemn the US aggression against Iraq and sacrilege of the Mausoleum of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) by them.
Peaceful demonstrations in which more than 1,000 Shias took part were also held in Shujabad, Vehari, Khanewal, Jhang, Shorkot, Muzaffargarh, Alipur and Bahawalpur.
"We would continue our protest till the pullout of US troops from Iraq and would force the American Government to apologise on its acts and reconstruct the damaged parts of holy places", said Allama Taqi Naqvi Provincial Chief of TNFJ.
"Our hearts are injured by listening the news of damage inflicted by US troops to the Mausoleums of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and we will continue our struggle against the sinners till their pullout", said Shafqat Hasnain Bhutta.
Special 'majalis-i-aza' were held in almost all Imam Bargahs on Friday.
