Plea to conduct proceedings in Karachi rejected

The Election Commission of Pakistan adjourned further hearing regarding by-elections of Karachi for June 2 while rejecting the appeal to conduct the proceedings at Karachi.
The Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner former Chief Justice Irshad Hasan Khan continued the enquiry here at the headquarters of the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding the by-elections of Karachi.
The enquiry commission comprised Justice Nasim Sikandar, Justice Qazi Ehsanullah Qureshi, Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari and Justice Muhammad Sadiq Leghari.
The Commission is holding enquiry about charges of rigging in the by-elections held on May 12 for NA-246, NA-240 and NA-243 and PS-127 in Karachi and the official notification for the winners in these by-elections was withheld by the Election Commission.
