Rs 28 bln to be released to TMAs, Village councils: Mushtaq Ghani

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information Mushtaq Ghani Saturday said that an amount of Rs 28 billion would be released to Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) and Village Neighborhood Councils of KP during next financial year.

Mushtaq Ghani said that unprecedented allocations and powers at grassroots level would usher a new era of progress and prosperity in the province.

He said that the provincial government has recently approved Power Policy 2016 under which a comprehensive plan had been chalked out to fully utilize the hydel potential of KP for the benefits of its people.

Ghani said as many as 356 mini micro hydel power stations would be established in far-flung areas of the province to generate cheap electricity.

He said that an independent Ehtisab Commission was working in the province without fear and it was evident from the fact that a sitting provincial minister was arrested on charges of corruption, an unprecedented event in the history of our country.

Regarding BOK Special Assistant disclosed that inquiry report has been completed in which nothing was kept hidden.

He said that law and order situation in the province was better and police is also acting as per law.
