Opposition slams PTI government for adjourning budget session

PESHAWAR: Opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Saturday slam PTI led provincial government for adjourning budget session before schedule.

The Assembly session on budget debate for fiscal year 2016-17 was started and continued only for six minutes.

Sardar Idrees of PTI pointed out the quorum and the Speaker Asad Qaiser adjourned the session due to lack of quorum till Tuesday 2 pm.

Talking to media after session at opposition chamber, Leader of the Opposition Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Parliamentary leader of ANP, Sardar Hussain Babak and Parliamentary leader of PMLN Sardar Aurengzeb Nalotha and Nighat Orakzai of PPP said that the provincial government was not serious in the proceeding of provincial assembly.

They said that the budget presented by PTI led coalition government for only few districts and they have decided to approach the court in this regard. They said that it will be a merricul cal for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to pass the injustice budget. They said that the deficit of the budget during the PTI regime would reach to one trillion.

They said that their own cabinet members were against of the Chief Minister and now the CM visiting their houses to re-conciliate with them.

They said that Speaker Asad Qaiser was playing an impartial role and they are considering to bring no confidence over speaker.
