24 PML-N activists arrested

Arrests of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office bearers and workers continued on Saturday, as the police have arrested further 24 activists, including four women, after conducting various raids.
According to a PML-N spokesman, the son of Sheikh Aftab, personal secretary of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Hashim Aftab was among the detenue.
The police conducted a raid at Aftab's house and arrested his son. Moreover, in the early morning plainclothes policemen intercepted Dr Abdul Rasheed Makhdoomi at Lytton Road and took him in their custody.
Among others, who were arrested in Lahore, were Malik Naseer, Rana Umer Daraz, Rao Iqbal, Munshi Nadeem, while Chaudhry Younas Gujjar managed to escape. The police has also arrested the younger brother of Chaudhry Arshad Mehmood PML-N Joint Secretary, Naeem and his cousin Raja Maqsood.
He further said that Rukhsana Kokab, PML-N Women's wing Information Secretary, along with her three companions, were arrested by a team of women police officials.
At Kasur, the police conducted a raid at the house of Allah Ditta Bhatti, a PML-N activist and arrested him. Moreover, the police also arrested Haji Ahmad Bhutta, General Councillor, and Zulfiqar Ansari, Labour Councilor from Kasur.
Later, another police party charged into the office of PML-N at Kasur and arrested Sheikh Waseem Akhtar, PML-N District General Secretary, Nadeem Akhtar, Jamil Ahmad Khan, Farid Khan, Sheikh Ahsan Kasuri, Rao Amir, Rana Aqeel and Waseem Bhatti.
According to spokesman, Zafar Iqbal, PML-N city president of Kot Radha Kishan, Khizar Hayat Joya and Muhammad Abbas were also arrested from their local party office.
