Fault in KESC transformer: power to remain suspended

Fault in another KESC transformer at the Jacob lines Grid Station is likely to again hit the electricity consumers.
According to a KESC spokesman, a transformer at the Jacob lines Grid Station is being repaired. The fixed contacts of the 11,000 kW incoming switch of the 30 MVA transformer No l are being replaced, therefore the power transformer will be shut off on Monday (April 10) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The spokesman mentioned that during the repairing period, the power supply would remain suspended to around 25,000 KESC customers around Mazar-e-Quaid, PECHS blocks 2-6, Tariq Road commercial area, Sindhi Muslim Society Block 'A, Clayton Quarters, Muslimabad, Kashmir Road, Shikarpur Colony, Khudadad Colony, Saddar, Garden Road, Garden East, Nishtar Park, Coast Guard Head Quarters, Lines Area, E.I. Lines and Civil Lines.
