Design proposals approved

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved design proposals of bus stops and public open places. The drawings of these designs will be completed by the end of this month.
Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari during last week discussed various proposals and designs of new bus stops, police pickets and check posts as well as creation of public open places with the local architecture firm at a meeting.
The designs for Jinnah Super Market and approved plan for further development/beautification is as under:
Inside, the architects identified several places that would be specified for pedestrians, holding music shows and food stalls for general public.
Earlier, the CDA Chairman was informed about the industrious use of public spaces in Tokyo and other developed cities.
Kamran Lashari expressed his satisfaction on the pace of work and praised the ideas given by the firm and asked them to prepare designs conforming to the international standards.
The meeting also discussed renovation of public toilets and constructing public parking lots in the Capital.
The construction work on these designs would start within few weeks and expected to be completed by end of this fiscal year.
