17 Apr, 2004

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed Sessions Judge Gujranwala to hold inquiry against civil judge/judicial magistrate Amir Javed Ranjha for misusing his authority and also got registered a case against him.
The court also directed Sessions Judge Gujranwala to get registered a case against Naeem Haider, petitioner Hemeesh and one Muhammad Younas if they are found guilty and submit his report within one month.
The court passed these orders in a petition filed by one Hemeesh who approached the court against SHO police station Saddar Gujranwala who refused to hand over his vehicle on superdari despite the court orders.
The LHC, which had called the record, found that sessions judge had recalled the orders of civil judge, as he was not competent to issue such orders.
The court when asked the petitioner counsel as to why they concealed the fact from the court, the counsel replied that his client had not apprised him facts of the case.
The court, taking serious note, directed sessions judge Gujranwala to hold inquiry and take action against the persons found guilty in irregularity.
